CV_Michael_Corballis.doc

My CV, in Microsoft Word format. When I update it, it will be updated here.

Professional Work

My experience has included government sites, requiring an understanding of usability concerns, as well as eLearning.

Main skills: PHP (incl. Drupal framework), PostgreSQL, MySQL, Linux, and I have enjoyed working in Javascript and Actionscript

I have recently been working at Catalyst I.T. Limited as a developer in the eLearning team, programming and maintaining the Moodle learning management system. Many installations we worked on were corporate intranet sites, but others included Waikato and Massey universities, as well as many polytechnics and schools. I also did much of the work to create a couple of modules, one for the IRD's local intranet which I had to basically rewrite to fit the Intel Tao project. If this module does become available for download, it will be called Progress Indicators or Visual Indicators (maybe even Completion Indicators). What it did was add a visual depiction of each stage of a course, which indicated the level of completion of each task.

The code I've written professionally is of course owned by the companies I worked for and much of it is also for the local intranets of companies and Government departments but I can show a few examples online.

Other Sites

Corballis-Art.Co.NZ

I have recently written a bespoke site for my mum and dad for them to upload images of their artworks for an online gallery.

Corbo.Co.NZ

My own site for displaying and playing my art and music. The site itself is deliberately in a state of continual improvement, more of a labour of love than work.
